Definition of developed country and developing country.

For any country to move from the list of a developing country to a list of developed countries they need to overcome the threshold of per capital GDP that every country has.

Developed country:

• There are some countries that come under the category of a developed country because the annual GDP of that country divided by the population of the same country gives us the per capital GDP.
• If this GDP is more than $12000 then the country is considered as a developed one. This per capital GDP is often calculated in US dollars.

Developing country:

• The Gross Domestic Product that is explained about any country is calculated for all the countries and the countries which do not reach this mark of $12,000 don't qualify but if they are not lacking a lot behind then which countries come under developing countries. For example, India and China are quilted developing countries.
