Secondary introduction:
Introduction that can be used as a variety after selection from the original genotype or used for transfer of some desirable gene to the cultivated variety is known as secondary introduction.

In accordance to Bennett (1965). Introduction of the wild plants into the cultivation and the successful transfer of cultivators with their genotype in an unaltered manner, to new environment is known as Primary Plant Introduction and the rest is known as Secondary Plant Introduction.
Primary Introduction:- It is a commercial cultivation as a variety without change in its original genotype is known as Primary Introduction.
