Lime Soda process is a method of softening hard water. This process is now obsolete but was very useful for the treatment of large volumes of hard water.

Priming:
a substance which primes something for use or action, in particular.

Homing:
the inherent ability of an animal to navigate towards an original location through unfamiliar areas.

Ion exchange:
Ion exchange is an exchange of ions between two electrolytes or between an electrolyte solution and a complex. In most cases the term is used to denote the processes of purification, separation, and decontamination of aqueous and other ion-containing solutions with solid polymeric or mineralic "ion exchangers".

zeolite solution:
Zeolite process for water softening has become a commercial success for the reason that zeolite can be easily regenerated.
Hope it will helpful to you!!!
