Explanation:

Integration is the reverse operation to differentiation.

i.e. it is the process of getting from the derivative dg(x)/dx=g′(x) to the function g(x).

For example,

we know that if g(x)=xn,

then g′(x)=nxn−1;

thus the integral of nxn−1 (written as ∫nxn−1dx) is xn+k

where k is the arbitrary constant.

>Integration is the inverse process of Differentiation.

=>Here we are given the derivative of a function and we are to find its primitive i.e. the original function.

=>Such process is known as integration or Anti-diffrentiation.
