Degradable wastes are those wastes which can easily be decomposed in the soil without leaving any poisnous wastes.

Non-biodegradable wastes are vice-versa of that i.e. they don't get easily decomposed and also leave poisnous substances in the soil affecting lives.

Non-biodegradable waste is a type of waste that can't be broken down into its base compounds by micro-organisms, air, moisture or soil in a reasonable period of time. Non-biodegradable waste is an environmental concern, as it threatens to overwhelm landfills and produce disposal problems
This is because so that we can easily notice and separate all biodegradable which can be used as a fertiliser while the non biodegradable can be recycled. Segregation of waste is important for properly disposing of the huge amount of garbage in an environmentally conscious manner.
