Electrolyte Power. Compounds that completely dissociate is characterized by α>30% and is called strong electrolytes. If thedegree of dissociation is α<3% than electrolyte is called weak electrolyte.

For weak electrolytes variation of Λ with dilution can be described on bases of number of ions in solution.
Number of ions dissipating by an electrolyte in solution depends on degree of dissociation.
Increase in dilution degree of dissociation increases and as result molar conductance increases.
Limiting value of molar conductance (Λ0) corresponding to degree of dissociation equal to 1 the whole of electrolyte dissociates.
