There are three degrees of comparison. Positive, Comparative and Superlative.
Positive: In this the adjective form is in the simplest form. It is used to describe a mere quality. It is used when no comparison is made.
eg: Navya is ------clever------
In this the adjective clever is in the simplest form.
Comparative: It shows a higher degree of quality than positive degree. It is used to compare.
eg. Navya is cleverer than Meera.
Superlative: The highest degree of comparison. It is used to compare more than two or three things.
eg. Navya is the cleverest in her class.
