Deimachus came to India as an ambassador of Seleucid emperor Antiochus I to Bindusara or Amitraghata, was the son and successor of Chandragupta Maurya. He provided much important knowings regarding contemporary society and polity. He was the successor of the ambassador Megasthenes. The entire people lived during the 3rd century BCE. Antiochus I sent Bindusare. He was the son of Seleucus Nikator. He also came to Paltipura in the starting.
