• It is the principle of political equality on recognizing that to the poorest to the richest has the same status, people are not the subjects to the ruler they are the rulers themselves. Even when they make mistakes, they are responsible for their conduct. Hence,Democracy enhances the dignity of a citizen.
• Yes, I agree that democracy enhances the dignity of citizens. Democracy is based on the principle of equality where every citizen irrespective of his/her caste or class has the right to vote. People whether educated or not elect their own representatives. This makes the people rulers themselves.
