Explanation:

Democracy always puts people first. It gives the first priority to its citizens as citizens are one to form the government. On the other hand, Monarchy is unelected and doesn't depend on and doesn't need to work for people.

The same happened in the China's famine. The Chinese government wad monarch and the king protected him and his food supplies first and many of the Chinese died.

But when famine came to India, the government opened all granaries and PWDs to distribute grains and food items among people. Many plans were also made for better control over condition.

Thus, by this appeal, it is crystal clear that Democracy is better than any form of government.

China's famine of 1958-1961 was the worst recorded famine in the world history. Nearly three crore people died in this famine. The government in China did not respond to the problem of food scarcity the way it should have because of a not so good government policy. If China had multi-party elections, an opposition party and a press free to criticize the government, then so many people may not have died in the famine.
