AIIM- To demonstrate the presence of starch in leaf. \huge\bold\blue{Material    required} A potted plant water bath,alcohol (methylated spirit), iodine solution,and a petridiah.\huge\bold\pink{Procedure}

Detach a leaf from the plant and deep in boiling water for a minutes process destroys the enzymes in the leaf and suspense all the chemical changes taking place in heat boil it the leaf in methylated Spirit over a water bath the leaf becomes hard brittle and colourless as it loses its chlorophyll content of the live in water to soft and it plays the leaf in battery disc and our a few drops of iodine solution over it.

Observation- The leaf turns blue-black in colour.

Inference- The presence of blue-black coloration indicates the presence of starch (absence of stars is indicated by appearance of brown colour.)hope it helps you.  #

Iodine is an indicator that turns blue-black in the presence of starch. The leaf that was in the light turns blue-black, which demonstrates that the leaf has been performing photosynthesis and producing starch.
