Kf means rate constant of forward reaction ,it is the rate by which reaction is forwarding

Kb means rate constant of backward reaction ,it is the rate by which reaction is backwarding

When kf=kb ,the rate of backward will become equals to rate of forward ,at this condition equilibrium will take place

Hence kf=kb is the condition of equilibrium

If you want reaction to reverse then you have to increase rate of backward than rate of forward (kb>kf).

If kb>kf then reaction will move in backward direction

I hope my effort will help you

souravdash786: So what is the relationship between kf and kb if equilibrium takes place and a reversible reaction
