The density of NH 4 OH solution is 0.6g/mL....

The density of NH4OH solution is 0.6g/mL. Calculate the normality of the solution.

This means in 1 ml solution we have 0.6g NH4OH
But the definition of normality says moles in 1 litre solution.
thus mass of solute (NH4OH) in 1000 ml = 0.6*1000
= 600g
now we just need to find out how many moles of NH4OH are there in 1000 ml
Moles = mass/Equivalent mass
Equivalent mass = Molar mass/ n-factor
n-favtor for NH4OH = 1
= 600/35
= 17.14 N
