Momentum = mass x velocity.

Force = change in momentum ÷ time.

 Change in momentum :-

Initial velocity = u, Initial momentum = mu

Final velocity = v, Final momentum = mv

Change in momentum = final momentum - initial momentum.

                                        = mv - mu.        

Force = mv - mu/t

Force = m × (v-u)/t

(v-u)/t = acceleration...............

Force = m × a

Force = ma.
