x =  \frac{mx2 + nx1}{m + n}  \\ y =  \frac{my2 + ny1}{m + n}  \\

Where m and n are ratios in which line is divided...

In case of mid point=>

m = n

and ratio will be 1:1

then,

x =  \frac{(1)x2 + (1)x1}{1 + 1}  \\ y =  \frac{(1))y2 + (1)y1}{1 + 1}  \\  \\ from \: here.. \\ x =  \frac{x1 + x2}{2}  \\ y =   \frac{y1 + y2}{2}
