Example 40 : A plan was drawn on a graph paper. The area of the plan was found by
counting the squares from the graph as 150 sq. cm. It was found that (i) the graph was faulty
such that 4.2 small squares of the same, instead of 4, were equal to 1 cm in both the directions
and that (ii) the 20 m chain used preparing the original plan was 25 cm too long to start with
and 10 cm too short at the end. Find the true area, in sq. m. if the scale of the plan is 5 m to 1
cm
