1+tan x / 1-tan x
= (1+ sin x / cos x) / (1- sin x / cos x)
= [(cos x + sin x) / cos x] / [(cos x - sin x) / cos x]
= [(cos x + sin x) / cos x] * [cos x / (cos x - sin x)]
= (cos x + sin x) / (cos x - sin x)

hope it helps u..!

Answer:

By the Sum Rule, the derivative of 1−tan(x) 1 -tan ( x ) with respect to x x is d dx[1]+d dx [−tan(x)] d d x [ 1 ] + d d x [ - tan ( x ) ] . Since 1 1 is constant with respect to x x , the derivative of 1 1 with respect to x x is 0 0 .
