Definition and Formula

As the name itself suggests that this method uses cross multiplication technique in which the coefficients are cross multiplied in order to find the values of variables. This method is also known as Cramer's rule. According to this method:

Let us assume that a system of linear linear equations is given in the following form:

a1x+b1y+c1=0a1x+b1y+c1=0

and

a2x+b2y+c2=0a2x+b2y+c2=0


This system will have the unique solution when a1b1≠a2b2a1b1≠a2b2
