Rate of change of momentum is change of momentum by time
m(v-u)/t
according to newton's 2nd law
applied force F is directly proportional to m(v-u)/t
acceleration a is v-u/t
applied force is directly proportional to ma
F is equal to kma
where k is a constant of proposnality k is equal to 1
Hence F is equal to ma
