continuation of

Newton's second law of motion also states that ,the external force applied on a body is given by the product of mass of the body and acceleration produced in it .

From equation 3 ,we can write

a=F/m

It means that the acceleration produced in a body is directly proportional to the force applied on it and inversly proportional to the mass of the body

Newton's second law of motion states that the acceleration of a system is directly proportional to and in the same direction as the net external force acting on the system, and inversely proportional to its mass. In equation form, Newton's second law of motion is a=Fnetm a = F net m .

Hope this helps.
