Adiabatic is the process in which there is no heat enters or leaves the system. this can be done by using a container of insulated walls.

Heat =internal energy +work done
deltaQ=detlaU+PdeltaV
There is no change in internal energy
So, deltaQ=PdeltaV

Total heat in adiabatic process is equal to work done.

Work done by the system is positive while work done on the system is negative.
