Answer:

s = u t + 1 / 2 a t²   [ Derived ]

Explanation:

From average velocity we have :

s = v + u / 2 × t .. ( i )

From first equation we have :

v = u +  a t

Putting value of v in ( i )

s = u + a t + u / 2 × t

s = 2 u + a t / 2 × t

s = ( u + 1 / 2 a t ) × t

s = u t + 1 / 2 a t² .

Hence derived second equation.

Answer:

Second Equation Of Motion

Distance covered by the object = Area of OABC = Area of triangle ADB +Area of rectangle OADC

=1/2 bh + lb

1/2×AD ×BD + OC ×OA

1/2 × t ×BD + t × u

1/2 × (BC-DC ) +ut

1/2 × (v-u)+ut

v-u = at (a = v-u÷t)

s = 1/2 × at × at +ut

2

s=ut+1/2 at
