To find : position of centre of mass of a 2 particle system

Given: position vector of the particles.

( let the position vectors be x1+y1 and

x2+y2 for 1st and 2nd particle respectively)

Now, the position of centre of mass can be found by this method for any number of particles.

You need to calculate individually for x axis and y axis.

x position = (m1*x1 + m2*x2)/(m1+m2)

y position = (m1*y1 + m2*y2)/(m1+m2)

We are considering the origin (0,0) as the reference point.

Please add the vector sign above x and y and to the position.
