time period of simple pendulum..

T

 =  \frac{ \sqrt{l} }{ \sqrt{g} } 2\pi

time period of a simple pendulum depends on its length and acceleration due to gravity but is independent of the mass of the bob.

derivation:

the restoring force

F = -mg sintheta

theta is so small

that's why ,

F = -mg theta

theta = arc/radius = X/l

Therefore

F = -[(mg)X]/L

ma = -(mgx)/l

then ,

a= -(g/l) × X

= -omega suquare X

T = 2π/omega

then,

T = 2π(√l/√g )

I hope it helps you
