Long ago when I was a college student, I did not have any conveyance to commute to college. However, I had a strong desire to be educated. My home was five kilometers away from the college; so every day I would walk to college and came back home in the same manner. At times I got life from a friend; but that was very rarely.

While walking I felt my determination to succeed in life grow stronger. I also realized the value of having enough resources. Those hard times made me harder. I worked very hard in my studies and everything that I did. As a result I became quite successful after a few years. I felt so elated when I bought my first car. The contrast of having commuted to college on foot with driving my own car doubled up my joy. I also learnt to be thankful to God, especially the hard times that make us hard also, which is very essential to be successful in life.

Some years ago, i went through one of the most horrible phase in my life. I suffered badly from a severe road accident while i was driving alone at the middle of the night.

I vaguely remember the incident that took place after my car the enormous truck that was heaped with tons of wheat crop. I saw glimpses of when i was being put into an ambulance and driven away to the hospital. I seemed to have lost conscious after that. This thing made me suffer as the hospital management was unable to trace my family they left me partially unattended in a ill equipped government hospital that was unable to provide me with proper treatment to cure me out of my comma.

Whenever, i think about it again shivers run through my spine. How difficult were those few days in my life. This made me realise how people in our country are deprived of basic necessities and they can say nothing about it rather that dealing with them the way they are. This taught me a huge lesson that a person needs to adjust to the harsh realities of life as life is quite unpredictable can take us anywhere.
