Good impression on external examiner during Viva:
The practical for avionics was completed and I was waiting for my roll number to be called, so, I can go inside the examiner office. I don't go well with avionics, it mostly has electronic and microprocessor topics which is very very far for my intelligence.
My roll number was called and I went inside. I greeted examiner and sat down on the chair. She asked me to ask her permission then to sit on the chair. So, I stood and asked her permission. When her answer was positive, I sat. She asked me some questions from my experiment. I answered her which didn't satisfy her. She told me my knowledge in avionics should be compared to size of the ant's brain.
My professor sitting near her rolled his eyes and let out a long breath. The examiner asked what is my domain subject, I told her it is aerodynamics. She asked some simple questions on aerodynamics. She commented that after all I am not as dense as she thought. Then she asked what is my final year project in aerodynamics, I gave all the details. From the look, I thought i saw amusement in her eyes.
She said in my department, one cannot be well-versed in all subject but one can be very well-versed in one subject. So, she told me she would ask one final question from my project and mark my viva exam according to it. She asked question from my project, I managed to answer it and she smiled and marked something in her paper which is mark-sheet.
Final I thanked her was about leave when she said she was pretty impressed that one manged to get zero in one subject and 100 in another subject. I got 9.2 grades in that viva exam.
