Answer:

Cell organelles are living parts of the cell which perform the metabolic functions of the cell for the body.

some of the organelles and their functions:

Mitochondria:

A spherical, rod-shaped or thread like body. These are minute double-walled bags with their inner walls produced into finger-like processes projecting inwards (cristae).

  • cellular respiration
  • production of energy for cell
  • known as "powerhouse of the cell"

Endoplasmic reticulum:

it is an irregular network of double membranes distributed over the entire cytoplasm in a cell.

  • support and framework for the cell
  • synthesis and transport of proteins and fats

Golgi Apparatus:

This organelle occurs in forms of granules, filaments or rods which are supposed to originate from the endoplasmic reticulum.

  • synthesis and secretion of enzymes and hormones

Ribososmes:

These are numerous small sized granules either scattered freely in the cytoplasm or attached to the E.R.

  • Protein synthesis

Lysosomes:

Lysosomes are small vesicles of different shapes containing digestive enzymes

  • Intracellular digestion
  • Destroy foreign substances
  • Destroy damaged or weak  organelles
