The nature of the graph depends upon the condition of the velocity and its motion.

(A.) When Velocity is constant ⇒  It the motion is Uniform, then velocity time graph will be parallel to the x axis and it will be a straight line.

(B.) When Velocity is increasing at an constant rate ⇒ If the velocity is increasing at a constant rate, then it will starts from origin, making an angle of 45 with the positive x axis.

(C.) When Velocity is decreasing at constant rate ⇒ In this case, graph of velocity vs time will be straight line but will be in third quadrant and will be similar to 2nd case only. If we rotate the 2nd graph by 180 then we will get the same graph.

Hope it helps.
