Akbar introduced to a system called Mansabdari system, though Mughal administration was military. Each officer was given a noble aansab or rank and was called Mansabdar. The smallest Mansabdar was in charge of 10, the highest was 5,000 horses but price had higher no. also. the mansab was held during the life time it did not pass on to son
