Nutrition in plants is of 2 types:
•autotrophic (auto=self and troph=nourishment)
Autotrophic nutrition means that simple inorganic substances are taken in and used to synthesise organic molecules. 

•heterotrophic (heteros=other)
Heterotrophic nutrition is nutritionobtained by digesting organic compounds. Animals, fungi, many prokaryotes and protoctists are unable to synthesize organic compounds to use as food. 
It is of four types.
