activity. take wires of different lenghts if the same conductor. the thickness of all wire should be equal if you draw a gralh you find a upward slanting line which is almost streight this graph shows that.
resistance is diretly papotional to length

now, take wire of different thickness but same length of the same conductor if you will draw a graph you find a downward slanting line it is almost streight this shows that
and resistance is inversly prapotionl to area of cross section
now combining both the equation
R is prapotional to L/A
so,
R=p L/A
here p is a constant

take two wire of same material and equal cross section area but differ in length and connect both with source of equal pd then you seen that resistance of wire whose length is large produce more resistance than small wire.
× similarly take two wire of same material and equal length but differ in cross section area and connect both with source of equal pd then you concluded that the resistance of wire whose cross section area is bigger has low resistance than other wire .
×Take two wire of equal length and Cross section area but differ in material and connect with source of equal pd then you concluded that both has differ resistance
