You will here the sound of the bell.After that turn on the vaccum to absorb all the air in the box.after that again turn on the bell.but now you can't hear the sound . because all the air particles in the box is absorbed by the vaccum and in side of the box there is a vacuum is created. Here sound does not travel through the vaccum. There for we can conclude that sound need a medium to travel.
