Activity to show that proteins are present in Eggs:

• In a test tube small amount of white egg part was taken to test the protein is present in the egg.
• Then 3 drops of Biurets solution was added to that test tube slowly. Then try to mix the solution and shake well.
• If the observation of blue color changing into violet color then it can proved that protein is present. But if blue color remains same then it is proven that there is absence of protein in the test tube.
• But you will see the change of the color in the test tube as the egg has the protein in it.
