Pls refer to pg no. 235 and activity 13.9.

Below is the activity.....

Coil1 is connected with a circuit with key and battery.

Coil2 is connected next to it in the same rod with a galvanometer.

When current is passed through coil1, it gets magnetic. This is due to the current in the coil1. Now coil1 is a magnet.

Coil2 gains induced current when this magnet, i.e, coil1, is brought near it.

Answer:

Explanation:

When we connect the coil to a battery, current

starts flowing, hence there is change in the

magnetic field.

(ii) This change in magnetic field induces a current

in coil 2.

(iii) The process by which changing magnetic field

induces a current in another conductor, is called

electromagnetic induction.
