A curious incident happened to me when I along with my family had gone to Agra during the winter break. We had been staying at a hotel quite near the Taj. We had already visited the Taj the previous day. That day my family had planned to rest as in the evening we had to board the train for long and tiring homeward journey. Since I was not accustomed to being confined being indoors, I decided to wander around the adjoining areas of the hotel.

So I left the hotel at around 11 a.m. and began ambling here and there aimlessly. I had been told there was a shoe market just a short distance away from the hotel. So I directed my steps thither. The left and right turns spun my head. I tried to search the shoe market but could not find it. Each person I asked the directions from replied it was a little farther. Thus looking for the market two hours elapsed. I was tired now. I felt I must get back to the hotel as we had to make preparation for the journey.

As I turned around to begin my hotel-ward walk, a fear gripped my heart. I felt I did not remember which way I had come. I slipped my hand into my pocket to get hold of my mobile to call my dad for the hotel address. To my shock, the mobile phone was not there. I had either left it at hotel or I had dropped it. I just knew the name of the hotel.

I was sure I had the hotel card in my wallet. So I reached for it. Another shock awaited me! As I put my hand in the pocket to take it out, it was not there. I had left it at hotel too! Then I asked many passers by the way to the hotel, they said they did not know it. My heart sank to my stomach. “What would happen if I could not find the hotel ?”, thought I.

“Sunny”, I heard a familiar voice. As I turned around, I found my father smiling at me. My father had found me!
