4. Paleolithic tools were made of wood, stone and animal bones. ... Neolithic era tools were more sophisticated. A variety of tools were invented in the New Stone age, such as sickle blades and grinding stones for agriculture, and pottery and bone implements for food production.

5. Mesolithic tools were generally composite devices manufactured with small chipped stone tools called microliths and retouched bladelets. The Paleolithic utilized more primitive stone treatments, and the Neolithic mainly used polished rather than chipped stone tools.

6. When early man wanted heat to  protect the body of cold winters, he discovered fire by rubbing two stones.  When he wanted to make huts for shelter and utensils carved out of stones, he invented tools.  When it became necessary to cover the body, early man discovered cloth.  When it became difficult to travel by foot, early man invented animal driven transport.
