1. The society was converted into an industrial one with enormous growth of population and a rising demand for food.It was no longer a self- sufficient rural society with minimum demands for food and other items.

2. Vast lands of forests were cleared up for agriculture.For example, to meet the growing demand for food in Britain large forest lands were cleared up in America, Africa and Russia.

3. Migration of people was a new feature at emerged during this time all over the world. People migrated for a better future which resulted in the growth of new pattern of labour movements, ecological change, technology and capital movement.

4. Emergence of railways became necessary to carry agricultural products for export and import.Ships were manned by low paid workers from Africa, Carribean, Asia and Southern Europe for agricultural imports and exports.

5. Several workers were hired from distant places to work in the large agricultural fields.Crops were no longer grown by local peasants tilling his land.
