Cartilaginous joint is of two types, namely synchondrosis or primary cartilaginous joint, and symphysis or secondary cartilaginous joint.
In synchondrosis joint, the bones are joined by hyaline cartilage and found between the ossification centres.
The spinal joints are good example of synchondrosis joint.
In symphysis type, hyaline and fibrocartilaginous joints are found in the midline of the body; like pubic symphasis and intervertebral discs.
