digestion of carbohydrates (starch, lactose, sucrose) first move to buccal cavity , here 30% of starch can be digested then it go to stomach where no digestion takes place since the medium is acidic. then it moves to small intestine ( duodenum) here starch converts into maltose, isomaltose and dextrin. then finally it go to jejunum and ileum where itestinal juice converts into maltase, isomaltase, dextrinase sucrase, lactase and these fives are converted into glucose .now in glucose form all the digested carbohydrates passes in blood by process of diffusion ,active transport.
