Plantae is the plant kingdom which contains all plants on the earth. They are multicellular eukaryotes. Characteristically, they contain a rigid structure that surrounds the cell membrane known as the cell wall. Plants also have a green colored pigment known as chlorophyll that is quite vital for photosynthesis.

  • They have autotrophic mode of nutrition, cause they have chlorophyll and they make their own food by taking sunlight.
  • They are multicellular organism.
  • They have two division-'cryptogamae' and 'phanerogamae'
  • Cryptogamae do have three division and they dont have true xylem and phloem system they are -thallophyta ,bryophytaa and pteridophyta.
  • phanerogamae have two divion and they do have high functional xylem and phloem system they are - gymnospermae and angiospermae.
  • Angiospermae also have two parts dicot and monocot.
