Shah Jahan's Empire stretched from Sindh in West to sylhet in Bengal and from Balkh in the the north to the Deccan in the south but he he further consolidated his large Empire and tightened his control on various other regions already under Mughal authority. In the Deccan region he conquered Ahmednagar while Bijapur and Golconda accepted his authority and agreed to pay him an annual tribute and also he defeated Bundela Rajput but he failed to recover Kandahar from the safavid shah's and also failed to gain control over certain Central Asian territories but he captured jessore and bakla.
