Its an upward force exerted by a fluid on an immersed body which opposes the weight of that object.

Body when immersed in a liquid then an upward force acts on it which decreases the weight of body is called buoyant force..

Buoyant force depends on:-
1)volume of body
2)density of liquid
3) acceleration of gravity.
