Consequences:
- In Third Carnatic war French lost Chandra Nagar and Northern Circars to British.
- A very decisive war between French Officer comte de Lally and the British officer Sir Eyre Coote was fought in 1760. This was called as Battle of Wandiwash.
- In this war French were defeated. This war put an end to French ambition of creating colonial empire in India.
