Answer:

Chemical energy is energy stored in the bonds of chemical compounds, like atoms and molecules. This energy is released when a chemical reaction takes place. Usually, once chemical energy has been released from a substance, that substance is transformed into a completely new substance.

Chemical energy. Chemical energy is energy stored in the bonds of chemical compounds, like atoms and molecules. This energy is released when a chemical reaction takes place. Chemical energy is the potential of a chemical substance to undergo a chemical reaction to transform into other substances. Examples include batteries, food, gasoline, and etc. Breaking or making of chemical bonds involves energy, which may be either absorbed or evolved from a chemical system.

Chemical energy are mostly combusted to generate the pressure , strong enough to do work. They are mostly fossils. The concept behind this process is a field in chemical engineering called Thermodynamic ; translated literally as heat motion , but it’s really the capacity of a reaction to do work in relation to heat, and pressure. The process is govern by laws of thermodynamics .

The first law inspired the first sets of engines ever design . Chemicals stored as coal, (carbon ) are heated , reacting with air to generate heat which help to change the state of matter of water in a constant volume container called a boiler. At saturation , the steam becomes intense enough to push the shaft up ; for first stroke. Then is released , dropping the shaft , the continuous cycle made up the first engine.

In the risk of going too technical , it can be said to be the subject of the relation of heat to forces acting between contiguous parts of bodies, and the relation of heat to electrical agency. That force or pressure can be used to move load but not directly , a medium has to be heated ( air , or water ) ; ( In cars ) or driven out to achieve mechanical energy for a rocket engine.
