Answer:

Diffusion is the process of movement of particle from higher concentration to lower concentration

Diffusion happen in both liquid and gas because there particle move randomly in space but its not happen in solid because in solid particles are strongally bounded and not free to move.

Diffusion in gases are higher than liquid because in gas particle are not tightly bounded or have negligible force of attraction among them so they have higher kinetic energy and move with high speed.

However, in liquid particles are bounded however force of attraction lower than solid but higher than gas. So, they have less diffusion.

So, in short diffusion occur fastly in gas and slowly in liquid.
