Double Circulation: In the human heart, blood passes through the heart twice in one cardiac cycle.This type of circulation is called double circulation. Double circulation ensures complete segregation of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood which is necessary for optimum energy production in warm-blooded animals.Advantage of double circulation:Higher blood pressure is maintained. There is a greater flow of blood to the tissues. Double circulation gives the ability to create more pressure to pump blood round the whole body system. There is separation of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
