The process during which the veins carry the deoxygenated blood to the right ventricle which is further passed to the lungs. In return, the oxygenated blood is carried to the left ventricle and further to the left atrium or auricle of the heart. This process is called pulmonary circulation.
The process of circulation which involves the heart, and all the other parts, except the lungs, is called systemic circulation.
As blood is passed twice through the heart, the circulation is known as double circulation.
