describe effusion and diffusion
and difference between diffusion and effusion
Answers
Answer:
Effusion
The diffusion of a gas at high pressure into low pressure or vaccum, through a small hole is known as Effusion.
Diffusion
The ability of gases to mix spontaneously and to form a homogenous mixture is known as diffusion.
Difference between effusion and diffusion :
In diffusion case, the gas spontaneously streams through a porus partition. While in effusion case, the gas is forced out through a small hole by applying some external pressure. However both the processes are essentially the same.
hope it helps...
Answer:
Diffusion is a intermixing of molecules of two or more substance. Effusion is a gas allowed to escape from container through small pin hole. Diffusion Example, perfume of incense stick and after lighting a cigarette.Effusion example, puncture in rubber tube and escape of helium in a rubber balloon.
