Features of sugar industry of India

1. We are 2nd highest producer of sugar & 2ed in

Gur & khandseri .

2. We have morethan 600 Sugar mills in nation.

3.Nation’s sugar can is good in quality & have sucrose contains.

4.South India is now a day’s base on many mills

because of long cooler season .which is economical for manufacturer.

5.Its seasonal industry still we have managed good profit around the year because of demand of festivals  & Indian love to tea .

The major challenges faced by sugar industries are as follows;

1. There is shortage in sugarcane supply and this has lead to the reduced production levels of industries.

2. The use of obsolete technologies and this makes production not to be very efficient.

3. There is also low capacity utilization.

4. The other one which has lead to the decline of sugar industries is poor financial performance.

5. There is also poor transport facilities and this makes the cane to take longer time before transported to the industries.

6. There is also discriminatory government policies.
