Helen was a nature lover. She loved every part of nature be it streams , water , mountains or trees. Her love for trees developed from childhood. While teaching botany Ms Sullivan taught her the process of growth of plant , it's requirement of sunlight and water.Helen observed a sapling's growth into a plant to understand its result in her love for wonders of nature and trees. When she went for a walk with Ms Sullivan in a pleasant weather she could not resist nestling in the branches of a tree. She could not resist the sight of dried tree branches in the winter of north and was compared to the veins of a lady's hand. She loved the beauty of trees and enjoyed and enjoyed the bounties of the trees.
